兵来将挡,水来土掩(bīng lái jiàng dǎng,shuǐ lái tǔ yǎn): translated as “when the enemy invades with soldiers we fight back with military; when the flood comes we build a dam with soil”; refers to “we should be flexible and solve the problems with the right plan”.

In English, we say “there’re always more solutions than problems”. While totally agree with the optimism, I think it’s important to choose the right plan and being flexible and adapt to the changing situation.

As a self-employed professional myself, also when I work with entrepreneurs, sometimes we think about “what’s leadership”…

Great leader = the eye to discover the talent + the growth mindset to build an organic team!

As an individual, the success may come from a product or a specific skill, such as sales.

How about an organization or team that is looking for sustainability? It’s about making the right strategy for the organization; building the team as a living organism; but most importantly, working with the right person on the right thing!

A great leader is someone able explore others’ talents and let them shine; then build the platform to encourage the collaboration and let everyone shine: from inside to outside.
